Bringing the Challenge back to Michigan Off Road Trails
In the far Northeast corner of Michigan's Upper Peninsula lies a 4x4 sanctuary that gives wheelers a chance to hit some of the best off road trails in Michigan. Turtle Ridge Off Road Park on Drummond Island has been growing in popularity since it opened in 2005. Due to land closures and ORV regulations in Michigan, it's one of the few places you can legally ride some great off road trails. The ORV park and wildlife preserve is located on Drummond Island out in Lake Huron. It’s a short ferry boat ride away from the eastern most tip of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.
This place is one of the best kept secrets in Michigan. Drummond Island is paradise and being just an hour and a half east of the Mackinaw Bridge, it makes for a great weekend off road adventure.
Turtle Ridge has so much to offer, from mud to rocks, from stock off road trails to very difficult ones. The Island itself offers much to see, the scenery alone is worth the day ride. Most off road trails feature many deep mud holes, and challenging two tracks for even most built-up jeeps and trails are being modified and upgraded constantly. The venue hosts many special events such as the Jeep Jamboree.
Hours of operation are 9am to 6pm everyday thru the summer and into the fall.
